UPLB Forestry Students participate in Phil-LiDAR 1 IEC

As part of their Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) class, BS Forestry students from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos participated in an Information Education Campaign (IEC) activity in the Phil-LiDAR 1 Office in UP Diliman last March 23, 2015, to increase their awareness of LiDAR GIS Technology in the Philippines. 

A total of 35 students had an orientation with each part of the LiDAR data and flood model generation workflow, specifically the Data Acquisition Component, Data Validation Component, Data Processing Component, Flood Modelling Component, and Data Archiving and Distribution Component.
