Data Acquisition Component

The Data Acquisition Component (DAC) is primarily involved in the gathering of elevation data with the light detection and ranging (LiDAR) equipment. Using the Airborne Laser Terrain Mapper (ALTM) Pegasus, Gemini, and Aquarius, the team scans the flood plains of the covered river basins to collect data relevant for flood modeling.
