Phil-LiDAR 1 heads off to DOST MIMAROPA NSTW in Oriental Mindoro

Phil-LiDAR 1 Program representatives headed off to the 4-day DOST-MIMAROMA National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) for the South Luzon Cluster last July 22-25, 2016 held in Xentro Mall in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Engr. Christopher Cruz, Chief Science Research Specialist of the Data Acquisition Component (DAC) delivered the Phil-LiDAR 1 Program presentation in relation to disaster risk reduction and early warning systems. A total of 221 attendees comprised of students, various Region IV-B Local Government Unit (LGU) DRRM Office representatives, and those from the private sector and other government agencies visited the Phil-LiDAR 1 booth exhibit.

Other representatives from the Phil-LiDAR 1 Program were For. Dona Patricia Tajora, Senior Science Research Specialist of the Data Validation Component (DVC), For. Khristoffer Quinton, Senior Science Research Specialist of the Flood Modeling Component (FMC), Carlo Santos, Senior Science Research Specialist of the Data Archiving and Distribution (DAD) Component, and Denise Ann-Marie Suarez, Project Officer III of the Training Component. A total of 221 attendees visited the Phil-LiDAR booth.
