UP PHIL-LiDAR 1 PROGRAM Technical Reports

"In the midst of a changing environment era is a harbinger of worse situations that are to come. Typhoons and floods are expected to increase in number and intensity, exposing island-states like the Philippines to further vulnerability."

The UP Phil-LiDAR 1 Program, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), produced flood hazard maps for over 300 river basins in the Philippines reaching virtually a nationwide coverage to respond to the need of stakeholders to increase the level of information available towards disaster mitigation.

As part of the main output of Phil-LiDAR 1 Program, we were able to produce the technical reports of every river basin with the help of 14 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) such as Ateneo de Naga University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Caraga State University, Central Luzon State University, Central Mindanao University, Isabela State University, Mapua Institute of Technology, Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology, University of the Philippines- Baguio, University of the Philippines- Cebu, University of the Philippines- Los Banos, University of the Philippines- Mindanao, University of San Carlos, and Visayas State University.

Right now, we were able to produce the technical reports print ready format containing data acquisition, methodologies, results, pre-processing and validation and flood modelling of 262 river basins all over the Philippines. Particularly, the reports for the following river basins are being made available to the public:

Technical reports are ready for download in the Technical Reports tab above.
We want to emphasize the importance of the technical reports for the future scientists and researchers to learn about the program.
