DREAM holds Hydrology Training for Personnel

Last April 4, 2014, the Disaster Risk and Exposure Assessment for Mitigation (DREAM) Program organized a hydrology training attended by 20 of its personnel mostly from the Flood Modeling Component. The training was facilitated by flood modeling expert Dr. Matt Horritt from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.

Members of the Flood Modeling Component and some representatives from the Data Validation and Data Processing Components participated in the said whole-day training. Dr. Horritt, a flood modeling expert and consultant from the United Kingdom, gave a comprehensive introduction on hydrology and the use of the HEC-HMS software for the DREAM Program, which was followed by exercises. Similar training, especially for the public sector may be expected from the Program within the year.
